City : Dana Reserve
Description : Dana reserve, an area of some of the best scenery and biodiversity in the world. As well as having a rich history it covers a staggering 4 geographical areas of Jordan including Mediterranean and Sudanian. The large number of animals in this area makes Dana reserve hold some of the rarest animals and plants on the planet. Over 700 plants and 400 animals have been recorded here so far, 25 of which are known to be endangered including the Syrian wolf and sand cat. This variety in environment there proves well for the vast range of activities that can be done in the Dana reserve. Visitors can choose to be adventurous with climbing or hiking or the relaxing option of escaping into the beautiful surroundings and remoteness. You can choose whether you would like to go for a longer tour with trained tour guide showing you around the reserve either on bike or foot or simply walk around locally unguided. During your trip you can do some amazing bird watching or just take in the magnificent views of the area high up on the cliffs. You can even visit Roman wells or Nabatean tombs and explore the history that they hold. A tour guide can be very useful for this as they have a lot of knowledge that they can give you whilst visiting these sights. There are some extensive mountain bike trails that could lead you to some ancient copper mines if you are lucky.
